Alves de Sousa 2009 Vintage Port
Winter and spring had less rain and slighly higher tempeatures than usual. A cold wave in mid May combined with some rainfall affecting flower, this leading to a significant drop in in production.Until mid August temperatures were unuaually mild, but two Heat waves in September resulted in exceleration of ripening and concentration of the berry comounds. It combines the best of both worlds, with vigorous and precise structures, but with gentleness and great balance.
